Derek Smith
I am a native of St. Petersburg, Florida and moved to Gainesville after high school to attend the University of Florida. I graduated from UF with my bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Engineering in 2010. After briefly working in the industry, I was afforded the opportunity to spend some time overseas and was fortunate enough to have visited over 25 countries. I have been employed with Meldon Law since June of 2022 and enjoy working for a firm with such a client-focused approach to the cases it handles. My responsibilities at the firm include maintaining all of the hardware/software that the firm uses as well as analyzing and reporting on the firm’s data. Outside of work, I volunteer as a youth soccer coach and enjoy spending time with family and friends.
