Alachua County Possession Charge Dropped

A Santa Fe college student was found in possession of cocaine when their wallet was turned into the Santa Fe College lost and found. While the contents of the wallet were inventoried, a small plastic bag that contained a white powdery substance was found. The substance field-tested positive for cocaine, and the individual was placed under arrest and charged with felony possession.
The student hired Meldon Law. After reviewing the case and then speaking with the prosecutor regarding mitigating circumstances, Meldon Law was then able to negotiate a resolution that allowed for the client to enter the pre-trial invention program, which resulted in the charges being dropped.
