DUI and Criminal Defense

A driver was observed speeding, failing to stop at a stop sign, and crossing over a double yellow line while making a turn. Upon pace-clocking the driver at 40 mph in a 20-mph zone, a Gainesville Police Department officer initiated a traffic stop. The driver was underage, but smelled of alcohol. She consented to field sobriety exercises and reportedly had an “unsatisfactory performance.” She was placed under arrest for DUI and agreed to perform a breath test. She provided two samples of .078g/210L and .076g/210L.

Attorneys at Meldon Law advocated on the young driver’s behalf and she ultimately received a six-month probation sentence for the charge of Reckless Driving (first offense). She successfully completed this period and probation was revoked and terminated.
