Speed Causes Critical Injuries In Lady Lake Motorcycle Crash

A man was traveling west on County Road 466 in a Yamaha motorcycle. At the same time, a 72-year-old man from the Village of Springdale was heading east in a Lexus SUV. He was making a turn onto Rolling Acres Road when he collided with the motorcycle.
The motorcyclist, a 20-year-old man from Weirsdale, was ejected from his motorcycle. He was airlifted to Ocala Regional Medical Center with critical injuries. He was traveling 80 miles per hour in a 45 mph zone. A passenger in the Lexus, a 93-year-old woman, was taken to Ocala Regional Medical Center with minor injuries.
