A Marion County Sheriff’s Ocala Deputy responded to a location in Citra, Florida in reference to an aggravated assault. Upon arrival, the deputy spoke with the alleged victim, who advised that he and the defendant had been involved in a verbal altercation over a property dispute. The alleged victim stated that the argument escalated and that the defendant, who was seated in a vehicle, revved the engine and drove the vehicle at him, which caused him to jump out of the way. Additionally, the alleged victim stated that he was in fear for his safety.

The defendant was placed under arrest for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

The defendant hired Meldon Law. The attorney at Meldon reviewed the arrest report and met with the client, gathering the full facts of the incident. The attorney then spoke with the prosecutor, providing the full story and mitigating evidence, helping ultimately lead to the charge being dropped.
